The start and end time can also be set to follow the sunrise and sunset for your location and will follow that as it changes through the year.
The life expectancy of each bulb is 50,000 hours of use. Which equals out to just over 17 years with an average use of the lights being on for 8 hours a day.
No, you do not need to be home to have access to the app and control your lights. It's a cloud connected system, so you can control your lights from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet access/data on your device.
